ThralCo was founded in 1924 as the brain child of zeppelin racing champion, Sir Roger Thaddeus Reginald Maximilian Thralton. Using the proceeds from his many wins on the Leipzig Racing Circuit, Sir Roger planned to unveil a new kind of company that could lead the world into a new era of consumer satisfaction. Sadly, Sir Roger was lost on his ill-fated 1928 zeppelin expedition to the North Pole, and his dream of delivering goods via dirigible-class airship was never realized.

ThralCo would live on through the decades under the control of the Thraltons in various markets, first as a maker of novelty matchbooks, then as a maker of novelty ice cube trays, and finally, as a purveyor of fine goods. Today, ThralCo is one of the world's most interesting companies, and is rated by its employees as the best firm in the western hemisphere to work for.
